SEGA can Kiss my Green Ass.

Today was supposed to be special.

Brother Jobu and I have been looking forward to today for a MONTH.

Today is the day that the Incredible Hulk Game was supposed to street.

A mere 59 bucks a piece – (a scant 4 and a half gallons of gas or so) and we would have been tearing up the virtual city of NY and beating the holy green bejesus out of each other.

For weeks we have scoured the internets seeking information on this title . . .

It had everything we sought including the mother lode  – 2 PLAYER ONLINE VS MODE !

Yep. That’s what all the sites said.

Well today we booked out of a particularly crazy day at work to steal 20 minutes and purchase 2 discs full of happiness.

We stood shoulder to shoulder in Game Stop and breathed a sigh of relief that the  lazy eyed  counter jockey had not sold out . . .

But when he handed me the case I saw the sad truth . . .

No online VS Mode.  Only downloadable content.

SEGA has not released an online Hulk game today.

So “maybe” they’ll release the VS Mode in the future as a downloadable add on (probably for more money . . . ) or maybe they won’t.

Fine SEGA – Maybe we’ll buy it THEN.

Because today we walked away empty handed.

And Krozzbow laughed.

Whatever.

IRON MAN Demo on XBOX LIVE

 

 

 

I played the IRON MAN demo currently available on XBOX Live last night.

The game LOOKS beautiful. The weapons are pretty cool and the vocal interaction between Tony Stark and his computer guide Jarvis is well done. (Not sure if it’s actually Robert Downey Jr. but it’s a good enough impression if not . . . )

The problem . . . and it is a HUGE one, is flying.

The flying mechanics on this thing are terrible. You can go UP and you can go DOWN.  Flying FORWARD is a giant pain in the @$$ and seeing as you need to cover ALOT of ground in the demo and ostensibly the game, it should really be tweaked before release.

Flying was almost the ONLY thing the  EA Superman Returns game did right.  The development team on this should really re-evaluate the way ol’ shell head takes to the sky before it’s release . . .

Please SEGA – Don’t release an IRON MAN game unless he can FLY right.

Or maybe toss a few bus stops in the levels so he can travel more conveinently. 

First rule of PS3 Club . . .

Hey I just played the single player demo of The Club on PS3 and it reminded me of Gears of War.

This is a very good thing. I still think the PS3 controller is too light and empty feeling but for the first time in a PS3 game I felt like I could spend a serious amount of time in one sitting on a game besides the crack addiction that is PAIN.

Don’t misunderstand me – I need more time with it and this is just a first impression, but it was a pretty good one . . .

If anyone knows about a good 3rd party PS3 controller that feels like an Xbox 360 one – PLEASE ADVISE !
