WordPress is a great host, but they don’t allow me to do all the cool (read – commercial) stuff I need to if I’m going to take this dopey experiment to the next level.

Heroes Contest

This comic includes 4 stories that reveal more about the Heroes Universe. The stories focus on the back stories of Mohinder Suresh, Echo De Mille (the main character of the new Heroes webisode series), and Adam Monroe (Takezo Kensei).

Universal is teaming up with Sprint for the “Create Your Hero” contest.

Last Fall, fans of Heroes created two new heroes. But only one will star in a new online live action series. YOU CAN VOTE TO DECIDE WHICH ONE !

Busted XBox Update

My busted white friend has arrived in Texas.

The nice people at UPS advised that he was delivered at 11:00AM.

Microsoft still states that they are waiting for it.

I will be patient. For now.

XBox 360 Fall 08 Dashboard Leak . . .

I’ll be putting this on my box as soon as . . . it gets shipped back from the broken Xbox 360 factory. Sigh.

So what does that have to do with Lego Batman?  Nothing. But I can’t wait to  play that game.

Clone Wars AGAIN?

Also known as : The George Lucas Apology

August 15th, George Lucas is going to release a Clone Wars animated film.   As opposed to the other 3 animated films he already made. And the animated series from Cartoon Network that was better than all of them.

ENOUGH already with the CLONE WARS.  You had your shot at telling us this story and it sucked.

Go write something else.

Mark my words – we are about to see an event unprecedented in movie history. A Star Wars film will open and NO ONE is going to care.

This thing apparently has something to do wit Jedis on a mission to save Jabba The Hutt’s son.  Really. Jabba’s son?  Whatever. Hack.  Maybe they can stop off on the magical planet of droids and meet R2D2s long lost cousin. . .

If you want our attention Mr. Lucas, get Carrie, Mark and Harrison together in a sound booth and make an animated film about what happens AFTER Teddy Bears save the galaxy.

I will be waiting for DVD on this one and not at all tempted to go at midnight.

I hope I’m wrong. But I’ve hoped that 3 times now.

Brave and Bold but not at all Dark.

So ahh, the newest animation coming from DC is an adaption of the popular Batman comic team up series – The Brave and the Bold.

Bats will team with different heroes each episode in stories that take place outside of Gotham.

It will focus on the “fun” and “adventure” of the superhero genre.

In other words, it will be a marketing tool to sell all those toys that The Dark Knight couldn’t because it was not aimed at 6 year olds.

So the Bat pendulum swings all the way to Dark Knight and now apparently ALL THE WAY BACK TO ADAM WEST.

Sigh.

RANT – The musical!

Things that have irritated me thus far this weekend:

1. Cut my finger bustin’ up my kitchen in preparation for renovation.

2. Was accosted by a freakin’ MONSTER workin’ the coffee counter at Target.

3. Had to listen to 2 Indian gentlemen with full on heavy Bangladesh accents argue over which album a song by 50 cent was on for 25 minutes on line at the mall.

4. Went all the way to Home Depot and forgot my damn coupon forcing me to do the “cost of gas to go get it versus the savings of the coupon” trigonometry in the middle of a parking lot for 5 minutes.

5. The fact that I am still not wealthy enough to not care about forgetting the damn coupon.

6. Went to Times Square to pick up something that should have taken 15 minutes – but spent 2 and 1/2 hours walking down he street because EVERY FREAKIN’ FOREIGN TOURIST in the entire WORLD was there!!!!!

7.  My dead Xbox is on  it’s way to Texas.

Grrrr.

Terminator ???

For a second there I turned into Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. . . yeesh.

My Xbox is still busted but now it is in a plain white box on it’s way to Texas.

The new trailer looks so cool it makes me want to play Legend and Anniversary on my Xbox again . . .
