Okay, a rare moment of seriousness here.
Steven Curtis Chapman ( a Contemporary Christian recording artist for anyone who doesn’t know his name . . .) had a horrible tragedy befall his family this week when his 5 year old daughter was accidently killed by the family SUV in their driveway. Steven’s son was driving and I cannot imagine a worse event for all involved.
I also cannot imagine a nicer person than Steven. I had the good fortune to spend a couple of days working with him in the late eighties and his positive attitude, talent and just plain coolness shine through.
Ya know many “Christian Contemporary musicians” come off like zombie robots. This dude is the real deal and a hell of a good guy.
Well with the whole “Christian” thing I guess he’s a “heck” of a good guy.
I wish his family peace and healing in this horrendous time.

This is such a horrible tragedy…my heart goes out to the entire Chapman family.
Unfortunately, this happens more than 225 times A YEAR. Typically, children are killed by family members in their own driveways. Safe Kids USA, the kids charity, has lifesaving tips for parents here:
