I won the Batmobile!

I won the Batmobile!

2 of them actually ! For a scant $8.50 !

I collect Hot Wheels Batmobiles because essentially I’m like perpetually 9 years old.

So I have been looking all over for this one – the totally bad ass 1966 Barris Futura Batmobile as driven by Mayor West himself !

No one in my Actual life seems to understand how excited I am over this, so I figured maybe someone in my VIRTUAL life would.

There is a car wash near my office that actually owns a replica of the Batmobile. I may try to trade him one of these for the chance to have my photo taken in the drivers seat.  THAT will make a bad ass post . . .

That’s all for now, I have to go sit by my mailbox.

Juno what? I kind of liked it.

HA!

I’m becoming like the evil Gene Siskel of Internet movie reviews!

So I finally got around to seeing JUNO.  It very much reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite. Not in tone at all, but just in the way it “felt”. As funny as it is, it’s obviously culled from someone’s actual experiences.  It has a great cast, Ellen Page, JK Simmons, the kid from Superbad and Arrested Development (who by the way is an excellent actor.), Jason Bateman, Allison Janey,  Jennifer Garner…other people whom I sorta recognized but not enough to seek out their identities . . .

So what can I say about JUNO? It was written by a stripper and it’s about a teenager who gets pregnant and decides to give her baby up for adoption to a couple of yuppies in the Minnesota  (I think) suburbs.  It’s very funny mostly because of Ellen Page’s delivery of the writer’s Kevin Smith-esque dialog and very touching thanks to JK Simmon’s work as her Dad and  Jennifer Garner’s work as a woman who can’t conceive.

Another stand out thing here – the teenagers in this movie, really seem like TEENAGERS. Not like 20 year old actors carrying textbooks.

Definitely worth spending cash at Blockbuster on.
