Lohan as an icon

So Ms. Lohan has gone ahead and teamed with Bert Stern to squeeze more blood out of the stone that was Marilyn Monroe.

All good -the pictures as you no doubt have seen (everywhere – I’m surprised Elmo and Cookie monster weren’t discussing them today) are beautiful, but they pose an interesting question… at least to me.

Instead of creating their new iconic poses or images, today’s celebrities continue to go back to the well of iconic images from the 50s and 60s. 

What will the iconic images of our time period be to those looking to pay homage 40 years from now?

I challenge you to tell me what images we have from today that stack up.
