Okay – we get it – there’s a new Star Wars Movie you didn’t know about . . .

Since I’m obsessing this week – I always thought it was a huge mistake to introduce Anakin as a child in the prequels.
Even though Mr. Lucas claims that Star Wars is really the story of Darth Vader, that’s obviously not true when sitting through the original 3 films.
I personally always felt that Star Wars was the story of how Teddy Bears saved the Universe . . . but I digress.
If we had met Anakin as an adult, we really could have spent more time in the Clone Wars and gotten to know “why” he was such a bad @$$ instead of just sorta getting a hint of it.
I was unimpressed with his Pod race victory and his relationship with Padme was creepy. Why did she need to be the QUEEN of Naboo? Why did Greedo need have a fight with Anakin?  Why did he HAVE to be FROM Tatoonie? Why does it seem like the whole Star Wars Universe is 12 blocks long?
I just feel it would have been much better if we had met him as a young Republic pilot, coming to grips with his force-full personality. (See what I did there?) Sort of meeting him at Luke’s age but with a totally different experience.
Same development period but in a totally new set of circumstances.
After all, Luke could have very easily turned to the dark side if not for those damn bears.
Sigh.
