This is not a political blog – however . . .
I was just reading on Drudgereport that Hillary Clinton has lent her Presidential campaign 5 million dollars.
5 million dollars. Am I the only person in the country who thinks that the literal cost of running for public office is far too prohibitive?
We have become a country run by elites.
This is not a good thing for most of us.
We tell our children that they can be anything.
That is not the case.
And not for nothing, but should we really trust anybody who would risk 5 million bucks on a 3000,000 a year job?
Just a thought.

I just spent an hour playing UNO on XBox live with my buddy Krozzbow (Not his real name . . . ) and I was reminded of the week this XBox Live title came out.
I was instantly drawn to the hypnotic music and smooth, predictable gameplay. It was like therapy.
My friend Comatoast (Not his real name . . . ) and I played almost every night for a week with other Xbox livers. For a brief moment it appeared that this Xbox thing might have had cross over potential the way the Nintendo systems have with older people and young children.
Nobody dies in UNO. There is very little trash talk about whether or not you have a yellow 2. It was just . . . nice.
So we played for a while and forgot about Genral Ramm and the Covenant and the Nazis. We just played UNO.
We were scheduled to go on a long camping trip the following week and while we were making plans, one of us ( I honestly can’t remember which . . ) said,
I’m really looking forward to going camping but it’s too bad we can’t bring UNO with us.”
Suddenly the raw mental retardation of that statement violently snapped us out of our UNO induced trances and sent us running for our virtual rifles again.
Yeah, you probably had to be there, but it was damn funny.
