This movie was very good, but I just can’t help but feel that I’ve seen it like 4 times already.
Once with Michelle Pfeifer and Coolio, once on the Women’s Entertainment Network and at least twice on Lifetime. (Don’t judge me.)
That being said, it was very good though extremely familiar.
No big surprises here except for the inclusion of Patrick Dempsey as Hillary Swank’s extremely “human” and flawed husband.
It was genuinely touching at parts.
The evil school administrator seemed a little over the top for such a “real” story and as she was played by the woman who faced off against Harry Potter in his last movie I half expected her to turn Hillary Swank into a toad.
Not Justin Timberlake, not Chris Kattan’s Night at the Roxbury nonsense, not Bud light giving you the power to breathe fire, the funniest ad on Superbowl Sunday was for the Ford F150 pickup truck.
To prove how tough their truck was they hooked it up by it’s tow bar to a freaking centerfuge and spun it around like John Glenn getting ready to leave orbit.
That was pretty impressive I guess if you need that sort of performance while hauling sheet rock or exceptionally heavy bags of mulch, but the thing that made me laugh was the small print.
Way down at the bottom of the screen while the truck spun furiously, written in tiny little print was the following:
“Closed Centerfuge. Do not attempt”
They either have an incredible sense of humor at the Ford ad agency or have had some very bad lawsuits filed by airforce engineers.
