The Rock is very thin.

Seriously. That is what sticks with me about this movie the most. In fairness, I kept getting interupted by my stupid Blackberry (See how tech savvy I am) while I was watching it, but the Rock should find a Quiznos. He’s looking . . . thin very thin. Freakishly so because his shoulders are huge.

The movie was pretty good and being a Disney movie aimed at children you can imagine all the unforseen plot twists and turns. Also being a Disney movie aimed at children you can rest assured at least one parent is dead by flicks end. Gotta admire the Magic Kingdom, they find a formula that works and beat it underground.

Worth a rental.

Middle aged 17 year old

January 25, 2008

images.jpgOk so I’m not middle aged yet (unless I die at 74 which now that I think of it is entirely possible. I mean 74 is not 54. 74 is old enough to die without people weeping at candle light vigils about it. I mean that’s not to say that 74 year olds don’t deserve candle light vigils upon their deaths but it’s not as common as say, 37 year olds. You know what – people die at 54 pretty reguarly too. Not only is it possible that I am middle aged at this point – I may have been middle aged since I was 26 and a half!)

Holy crap. I started this post thinking that I’m not middle aged but in fact – I may be elderly.

How did this happen? I don’t even remember what I was going to write about. Another sign of my advanced age . . . Oh yeah, I was going to write about the fact that I walk around with this mental image of myself and in actuality it probably couldn’t be further from reality.

In my mind I am perpetually 17 years old with a V shaped torso and boundless energy. Girls smile when I make eye contact and younger men fear incurring my powerful wrath.

In reality I am 37 with a Q shaped torso and complete lack of energy. Girls look through me as if I were a window pane and younger men contemplate asking if I need help getting out of my chair.

Okay, so I am exagerating (a bit) but it sure does feel that way sometimes.

Who is that old guy in my mirror?

Oh yeah – Happy Birthday Keith.
